In a couple of days before a snowfall, Ben, our friend Matt and I quickly sheathed the garage and layed down tar paper and water/ice shield on the roof....whew!
A view from the street. We got new windows on the house upstairs too! Wow - what a difference! You can sit on the couch below the one shown in the picture and NOT have to have a blanket! Nice.

Lisa, where's your Tyvek? I'm disappointed -- didn't you learn anything from living in Alaska?
We're probably going to get all new windows too. We're taking advantage of the Alaska Energy Rebate program that will refund any money that we use to improve the energy rating of our house. I can't wait for the windows. I know it's going to make a huge difference.
