Our NYC Trip, finally!

New York City

Sorry this took so long to post, but here ya go! As for how it was, at first we wanted to take the first plane back to Anchorage, but that was just because of the total culture shock of being placed in a city like NYC....SO SO SO SO different than anywhere we've ever been, especially Alaska. But after spending some more time, it got better. Still WAY too much honking for us, and a lifestyle of the city that we just couldn't get used to, as we're used to the way laid back style of Hawaii and Alaska. But it was so great to see our friends Michelle and Rob, we wished our trip could have worked out to have more time with them. We got to see a Dave Matthews Band concert, never a dissapointment! All in all, we had a great time, so stoked we got to go, got in A LOT of walking, and got to hang out with some of our favorite friends! Enjoy the pictures! (Click on the image)

NYC....HERE WE COME!!!!!

Through a series of good luck events, Ben and I are on our way to the city of cities.....New York City! We're gonna go visit our friends Rob and Michelle, and Ben's best friend from high school Mark and his wife Merlyn. We're so so so excited and can't wait to get on the plane...guess we should go pack first though as we leave in 9 hours!

Extreme Backcountry snowboarding

Hi Everybody! That's me on my way to the top of the world. I went backcountry with Kevin and S&*%$D(*(&%, this past weekend for the first time this season in April bowl at Hatchers Pass. We walked up until there was no more up to walk. It was an amazing view from the top. We could see the alaska range and the chugach and we were above the clouds looking down on some very pristine untouched powder. We dropped in over a cornice and silently started the descent. What a rush! The first picture is just about to the top, and the bowl that we went down is on the right of the picture, we jumped in off that ledge of snow.

Our Costumes

Ben and I were summoned out Halloween night by our friend Kevin to go to a costume contest at Humpy's Alehouse. After some thinking, Ben and I came up with.......

Not a lot of people got my costume, and if you're one of them, I'm that crazy astronaut lady who wanted to kill the girlfriend of the other astronaut she went into space with. Notice the Depends underwear???? :)
Ben was an awesome "Wolverine" from X Men, he even shaved his long grown out beard for it! Notice the oh so real looking blades coming out of his hands....but don't worry kids, they were just plastic knives, held on with duct tape :)
