I threw my very good friend Vanessa a Baby Shower a couple weeks ago at our house. A great group of gals showed up for it. Besides the dogs gobbling up half the cookies I baked, it went off without a hitch! :) Here's some pictures:

Our First Anniversary!

A year ago on June 8th, Ben and I got married in front of our dearest friends and family. It was a spectacular weekend that we all want to do again every year we had so much fun! But since that's a little hard, Ben and I decided to go exploring in the Rocky Mountains for the weekend :) Here's some pictures from our adventures!

Karma payment plan

I did it! I never thought I would, but thankfully my friend Nicole spurred me on....and the salon had a nice glass of wine to give me :). I only got rid of about 9 inches....since the Organization I'm donating it to required at least 8. So yeah, working on my Karma Payment Plan. :)

This will be MUCH easier to handle, as lately my hair was getting caught in everything, I was practically sitting on it!

Our friend Fabrizio was just featured in yesterday's Denver Post...for his upcoming trip to K2 to lead the first commercial climb later this month. Its a great article, we wish him the very best on this endeavor, especially traversing through the war zone area in Pakistan he has to go through just to get to K2. Lisa is going to be researching the weather there and attempt to relay some forecasts to Fabrizio to try her hand at expedition weather forecasting!

TV Stars

Ben brought his mom to the Nuggets/Lakers game last night for a birthday/mothers day present. Cheryl ended up styling her hair after Chris Andersen, aka Birdman......awesome! If you were watching the game, you probably saw them, they got a lot of TV time. Just in case you didn't see them...here's a pic :)

"Primo!" Its Kevin Clegg!!!

Our good friend Kevin Clegg (who Lisa went to college with, then we all lived in Hawaii at the same time, now him and his awesome wife Spring live in Tucson again) came for a visit this weekend as he had a series of collegiate bike races up in Fort Collins. Here's a few at the race....he's in the red, white and blue jersey with an "A" on it.

They were riding about 30 mph and when the whole group came by, it was like a semi truck just passed with all the wind generated!

Ben has an amazing salesman ability. Multiple times we have "helped" friends and family buy some new upgrade or gadget whenever they come visit. With Kevin, it was a new phone.....an iPhone to be exact :) His old phone was falling apart, seriously. When he opened it to talk to someone, he had to hold it together!

A great cause...with awesome benefits!

I'm sure you all have gotten pamphlets in the mail at one time, or many, from March of Dimes and really didn't think about it. I'll be the first to admit it. However, since 2006, I've changed. Why you ask? Because our dear friends Andy and Lisa in Alaska had two beautiful twin girls who were premature and had a dangerous condition called Twin To Twin Transfusion Syndrome. Because of organizations like March of Dimes, they are with us healthy and cute as ever!
Then.....

Now!!!......
Andy and Lisa are participating in the March of Dimes walk in about a week or so and are trying to raise money for this great benefit. The best thing, is that they are asking people to donate to their cause, and when someone does, they post funny/cute/adorable pictures and videos of the girls. Panama, we miss you!

Ok, FINALLY went through all the 900 pictures to pick out a couple (hundred) of my favorites to share with you all. To kind of summarize, Ben and I and Ben's dad and our great friend Kevin of Alaska headed down to Panama for a few reasons......to celebrate Lisa and Hilary's birthdays (they share), to keep Lisa's mind off of turning 30, and to celebrate Kevin's completion of radiation and chemo treatment! Lots of celebrating and enjoying friends, family and life. 10 days later, we returned to the states with amazing memories, a few new friends, a few hundred bug bites and another country to check off our travel list! Thanks Mike and Hilary for making the trip more than we ever could have hoped for.

Panama!

The New Kitchen! (99% done)

Drum Roll Please.....Here is our (99% done) new kitchen! :) We are SO excited about it and can't believe its ours. Our friend Matt did an AMAZING job with the cabinets and our favorite part - the beautiful raw cherry bar top! All we have left now is to get two pendant lights for the bar area and add backsplash to the walls.

5 years!?!?!?!

Before I start posting pictures from Panama, I wanted to share pictures of another visitor we had. Treena and Jason and their ADORABLE daughter Faerosa!!!! I worked with Treena at the Honolulu NWS office and was immediatly drawn to her by her amazing smile and beautiful hair :) She was in Boulder for a conference and brought along her family. We realized it had been FIVE YEARS since we saw each other, before they moved to Eureka, CA. It was so great to see them again and finally meet the fantastic Fae and all her bubbliness! Thanks guys!

Panama....Here we come!

Tomorrow, Lisa's big 3-0 birthday, we're heading down to Panama to celebrate! We're going to visit our friends that we lived with in Hawaii, Mike and Hilary, who moved to Panama last August. Not only is it Lisa's birthday, but she shares the day with Hilary - another April 2nd baby! We've kidnapped our friend Kevin from Anchorage and Ben's dad Ken to bring with us on this wild ride. So far, a visit to the Panama canal, a 3-day trip to Isla de Coiba, a soccer game, surfing, a beach house, canopy tours and our own party bus have been planned! We're super stoked and can't wait to share pictures when we get back. Wish us luck!!!!
