here is a shot of Kaena sleeping peacefully twisted 180 degrees. Our dogs are special they are made of silly putty. A great shot that my dad took on the Halibut trip of Ileamna Volcano I think... nonetheless a beautiful picture!

Alaskan Grizzles at fish creek, the binoculars got us close enough to these guys to want to get back on the bus. My dad got into the whole denali experience so much that he sprouted a set of antlers of his own!

This is the Gang in Denali NP, we went up Healy overlook trail a ways for the view. We also took the bus into the park a ways and saw a ton of wildlife, in a truly wild place. Here is a shot of a wolf that walked right down the road.

Lisa on the train to Seward, man what amazing views you get on this trip. We are going to take this again for some backcountry adventures this winter for sure!
We got to spend some time with killer whales in resurrection bay while we were in seward, how cool is that!

Hiking Little O'Malley Peak

Ben and I went on a hike with our friends Louise and Sasha to Little O'Malley Peak, just east of Anchorage. Pretty tough one, reminded us of Koko Head in Hawaii!

Hike at Matanuska Glacier

Last weekend, Lisa Brown and her mom joined Ben and I, and our temporary roommate Garrett on a hike on Matanuska Glacier, just northeast of Anchorage. It was such a beautiful place, got lots of great pics, gonna have to post a lot to show you all! Sorry for the amount!

We thought we were on just dirt and rocks in the beginning, turns out its all ice!!!!

The glacier was melting in beautiful patterns into a river.

On our way home, we accidentally took the wrong exit. As we were turning around, I thought I saw something that looked like a bear, but to not sound dumb since we were back in Anchorage, I asked "Is that a really big dog?" Everyone looked and Lisa Brown screamed "Its a bear!!!!!" Turns out, it was a momma and two cubs. Sorry for the crappy picture, it was dark and they were moving FAST (one cub is in the backgroundin the tall grass)! But yea, our first bear sighting, only about 4 miles away from our house, in the protection of a car thank gosh!
